Welcome to
MGS Surveying Ltd
Welcome to MGS Surveying Limited, an independent Building Surveying and Project Management Practice. Based in Central Bedfordshire, the practice has a high level of versatility to service both private and public sector clients across the UK.
The underlying ethos of the practice is to provide clients with clear, impartial and high quality technical advice in respect to building related matters
BUILDING PATHOLOGY
A Building Pathology Inspection will involve a thorough and detailed inspection of a building defect, allowing the cause(s) to be accurately established and therefore appropriate recommendations for rectification can be made. Such investigations may require intrusive opening up works, or where possible the use of specialist, non-evasive equipment.
BUILDING SURVEYING
A thorough understanding of how a building is constructed is fundamental in accurately diagnosing and successfully remedying any defects. Building survey reports are available in a variety of guises; crucially they must be presented in a clear and easy to read format to help accurately convey the information to the client. Typical survey types include; Planned Preventative Maintenance Surveys, Stock Condition Surveys, Purchaser’s Surveys, on-site quality inspections, new build “snagging” surveys.
Project Management
Project management is a further service provided by MGS Surveying Ltd to private and public sector clients alike. Project management from a modest redecoration programme, or a complete refurbishment with multi-trade involvement, requires the same values of quality, time and cost to be met. Duties typically include; confirmation the client’s requirements and production of a brief, production of a specification of works and tender documentation, obtain statutory consents, carryout contract administration, carryout site inspections of the works and manage the making good of any defects.
